The Planning Forum functions as a strategic body that supports the institution’s growth and development. It assists in formulating academic, infrastructural, and administrative plans aligned with the college’s vision and objectives. The forum coordinates various departments, evaluates progress, and ensures effective implementation of development initiatives. It also promotes participatory planning by involving faculty, students, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency and efficiency in decision-making. Ultimately, the Planning Forum plays a key role in guiding the college toward sustained academic excellence and institutional advancement.
An Institutional Development Plan (IDP) is a comprehensive strategic document prepared by a college to outline its goals, development priorities, and roadmap for growth over a specific period of usually 5 years. It serves as a blueprint for improving academic quality, infrastructure, research, innovation, and community engagement. Objectives of an IDP include defining the Institute’s vision, mission and long-term development goals. It focuses on enhancing academic quality, fostering innovative teaching–learning practices, and improving student outcomes. Emphasis is placed on developing modern infrastructure, promoting research and innovation, and integrating skill-based and life-oriented training into academics. The college also upholds its social responsibility through active community engagement, environmental sustainability, and outreach initiatives.
